WHAT TO EXPECT
On your first visit to our office you and Dr. Nolen will sit down and talk about your concerns. Your job is to tell Dr. Nolen about your symptoms in as much detail as possible; when they began, what makes them worse, what makes them better, anything that you think that might be important. His job is to; listen to you describe your condition, conduct a thorough evaluation and make a recommendation of treatment if he feels chiropractic care can help you.
If you are in pain, that is the initial focus. Dr. Nolen doesn’t recommend a treatment program of duration or frequency of care until you have been treated once or twice. This is to insure that he and the patient are satisfied that chiropractic treatment is helping. Dr. Nolen believes that it is impossible to tell how long or how frequently a patient will need treatment during the initial exam.
Dr. Nolen doesn’t believe in “forcing joint movement”. He believes that joint motion is essential and important. His adjustments are gentle and effective.
We prefer that you print our initial patient forms online, this will save you time on your first visit, allowing you and Dr. Nolen more time to discuss your condition.
INITIAL CONSULT AND EVALUATION
Once your initial forms are complete, Dr. Nolen will listen to you as you describe your concerns to him in detail. If he feels chiropractic treatment can help you he will perform a thorough evaluation that includes; range of motion, reflexes, neurological and orthopedic tests. Dr. Nolen will only take x-rays if both you and he feel they are necessary.
Dr. Nolen doesn’t recommend a treatment program of duration or frequency of care until you have been treated once or twice. This is to insure that he and the patient are satisfied that chiropractic treatment is helping. If treatment is helping he will recommend a course of care, including minimal stretching and lifestyle adaptations, which generally shorten your course of treatment.
